- Which sources does LawDB cover?
- German federal law via NeuRIS (federal legal information system), European legislation and case law via EUR-Lex and Curia (Court of Justice of the European Union). New sources are continuously added.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Search and all linked documents are accessible without registration. An account is only needed for the MCP connection, so your AI assistant can access the holdings.
- How do I connect my AI assistant?
- Via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Claude connects via OAuth, ChatGPT and other clients via a personal access token. Setup takes a few minutes.
- In which languages are documents available?
- German federal law is available in German. EU documents may be available in up to 24 official languages. The interface and AI summaries are available in German and English.
- Are the texts official?
- LawDB sources its data exclusively from official sources and reproduces the texts unchanged. The official authority of the texts depends on the respective source — as with any legal database.
