list_jurisdictions

Obtain valid jurisdictions, content languages and court slugs for search filters.

Call

Optional language argument: de or en for jurisdiction and court names; default de.

Response and use

For each jurisdiction, the response includes code, kind, name, default_language, content_languages and courts. Courts include their slug and, where available, ecli_code, level and city.

Pass code as jurisdiction and the court slug as court to search_legal_documents. Do not guess these values: an unknown court slug may produce no results.

Distinguish jurisdictions

  • de: Germany
  • eu: European Union
  • coe: Council of Europe / ECtHR
  • un: United Nations / International Court of Justice
  • int: International / Permanent Court of Arbitration
  • Use the current tool response as authoritative. The Council of Europe, ICJ and PCA are not subfilters of the EU jurisdiction.
